John Timothy Sullivan Obituary
John Timothy Sullivan HAMILTON - John Timothy Sullivan, 88, of Hamilton, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014, peacefully surrounded by his family. Born in Trenton, NJ, Mr. Sullivan was a lifelong area resident. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during WWII. He was a graduate of Trenton Catholic High School, attended Rider College and was a graduate of the 44th State Police Class. He worked on the Trenton Police Department for 8 years, was a NJ State Trooper for 27 years, retiring in 1980, and following retirement he went on to work at Dow Jones in South Brunswick. Mr. Sullivan was a member of the Former Troopers Association and was a lifelong athlete, an avid sports fan and, most importantly, a die-hard NY Yankees fan. Predeceased by his parents, John James and Kathleen (Kelly) Sullivan; his sister, Mary Pollard; and his loving wife, Alice Darragh Sullivan; he is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Jay and Christine Sullivan of Jobstown and Thomas and Ilene Sullivan of Titusville; his three grandchildren, Griffin, Shane and Kate Sullivan; his three nieces, Meghan Darragh Pollack, Kathleen Brungardt and Bernadette Henry; and his two nephews, Colin Darragh and Thomas Darragh. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 9, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great R.C. Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ 08690. Interment will follow at Princeton Memorial Park in Robbinsville, NJ. Visitation will be Friday, August 8, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home. www.saulfuneralhomes.com
