FAIRLESS HILLS, Pa. - Mary Ann Seif Jacobson, Aunt Marie, died peacefully on Friday, August 15, 2014, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 81. She was the loving wife of the late Raymond "Jake" Jacobson.
Born in Philadelphia she lived in Fairless Hills, and Edgely, before moving to Trenton, N.J. She then returned to Fairless Hill in 2008. She worked for Star Porcelain, and the State of New Jersey, retiring in 1998. She volunteered for the Levittown/Fairless Hills Rescue Squad in its early years and that is where she met her soul mate, Ray. They belonged to the Trenton Polish American Democratic Club where they made many long lasting friendships.
Marie had a passion for politics, watching nature, and reading books, but most of all caring for her family and her faithful companion, Jackson.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her nephews and niece (whom she treated like her own children) Richard Bugglin, James Bugglin (Marcia), Robert Bugglin (Linda Vogel), and Susan Ryba (John). She will also be sadly missed by many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Especially her longtime friends, Pat and Carl, Billy and Marie, Patty and Kenny.
She was predeceased by her parents, Nicholas and Rosalie Seif, her siblings, Sr. Lucretia, John Seif, Elizabeth Curcio, Michael Lay, Catherine Lay, her beloved Rosalie Bugglin, and her niece, Catherine Mull.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 19, at 11 a.m. at the Winowicz Funeral Chapel, 865 Brunswick Ave., North Trenton, N.J., with the Rev. Dr. Jacek W. Labinski officiating. Burial will be in the Veteran's Field of Honor, Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton Township, N.J. Calling hours are from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
