He was born in Jersey City to Beatrice and Bernard Herbst on Oct. 6, 1946 and was a lifelong resident of New Jersey. He was a Rutgers University and Rutgers School of Business graduate. Ken was not only well versed in the business world but also in fields such as sociology, philosophy and religion. He was also granted membership to the Certified International Auditors in 1991, and was an active participant for the Ewing Democrats. Ken was dedicated to his family, close friends, and acquaintances alike. Ken's optimism and light were contagious, helping those around him in even the most trying circumstances with his large, bright smile. Ken loved music, especially classic rock and also enjoyed watching his beloved Giants, as well as the Phillies and Flyers. Ken's love and light touched many lives, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts forever. He will be dearly missed as a husband, father, uncle, cousin, brother-in-law and friend.
