HAMILTON - Michael A. Maita, 44, of Hamilton Square, passed away on Friday at Compassionate Care Hospice in Trenton with his loving wife by his side.
Born in Passaic and raised in Rutherford he moved to the Bayville and Toms River area and settled in Hamilton Square in 2003. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Desert Shield. He retired from St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton as the operations manager of the security department. He was formerly employed by the Seaside Park Police Department, Community Medical Center, Ocean City Sheriffs Department, 911 Division and Princeton University. Michael was a member of the DAV and the American Legion Post.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila M. Santos Maita, his parents, Donna and Anthony Maita and Dennis Rodgers, all of Toms River, and many in- laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the Buklad Yardville Memorial Chapel, 30 Yardville Allentown Road, Yardville. Burial will follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown. Calling hours are from 10:30 a.m. until time of services Friday at the memorial chapel.
