HAMILTON - Michelle Thomas, "Haitian Queen," age 30, passed away July 1, 2011, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born in Haiti, Croix-des-Bouquet, she had lived in Hamilton for more than 20 years. She was employed by Princeton Pavillions Assisted Living, Westin Hotels, and she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Healing Center in Levittown, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her cousin, Lovely Eugene, aunt Mirlande Eugene, grandmother, Claurizane Delarme, and stepfather, Moliere Polynice.
Michelle is survived by her parents, Marie Solange Eugene and Roosevelt Thomas; two sisters, Darline Polynice-Joseph and Nadine Thomas; two brothers, Sony Thomas and Wilson Thomas; three nieces, Abigail E. Joseph, Sasha Alexis, and Nadlie Alexis; five cousins, Jessica Eugene, Tenny Kernizan, Shirley Aurel and Natacha Aurel, and Beverly Cerene; an aunt, Martha Thomas; in-laws, Elmanno Joseph, Andre Alexis, and Ketia Lafleur; fiancé, Luis Beltran; a best friend of 20 years, Marlene Defense; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday (July 15) at the Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday (July 16) at Saints Lutheran Church, 162 S. Johnston Ave., Hamilton Township. Calling hour will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the church. Interment Greenwood Cemetery Hamilton Township.
