Richard Earl "Dick" Burd

Obituary Condolences

BORDENTOWN - Richard Earl "Dick" Burd, of Bordentown, passed away Sunday at home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Trenton and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hamilton Square.
Dick was a U.S. Army veteran. He had retired from the State of New Jersey, where he worked as a draftsman.
A member of the Trenton Numismatic Club and the Maryland Numismatic Association, he also enjoyed coin collecting, camping, gardening, and playing cards with friends.
Son of the late David and Sara Burd, he was also predeceased by his wife, Dorothy MacFarlane Burd, and his brother, David Burd.
Dick is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Mark Merrion; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Burd and Dorothy Raymond, and John and Jennifer Burd; grandchildren, Zachary and Veronica Merrion, Brittany Baker and her husband Jeremy, Baylie, Jessica and Lisa Burd; several great-grandchildren; brother, Clifford Burd and his wife Bobbie; mother-in-law, Alice MacFarlane; sisters-in-law, Alice Donaldson, and Catherine Olsen and her husband Ken; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square.
Cremation services will be at the convenience of the family and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
