PRINCETON - Clariece Hinson Hill, age 81, passed away Aug. 13, 2012, at the University Medical Center of Princeton. She was born in Wadesboro, N.C. and was a resident of Princeton for 50 years. She was a graduate of Polkton High School in Polkton, N.C. Clariece retired from Princeton Hospital where she worked as a dietary aide. Prior to her retirement she also worked as a home health aide from the Home Care Department of the University Medical Center of Princeton. She was a member of the Ellerbe Grove Baptist Church and attended churches in the surrounding area.|
She was the daughter of the late Benjamin F. Hinson and Lalia Huntley Hinson, and wife of the late James L. Hill. Clariece is survived by her son, George Gillis (Stacey); two grandchildren, Terrance and Sidney Gillis; three brothers, Eddie Hinson (Georgia Mae), Alton Hinson (Annie), and Houston Hinson; five sisters, Mary J. Johnson, Patricia Ragsdale (William), Willie Ree Hinson, Jennie Monroe, and Margaret William (Vincent); and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be at noon Friday (Aug. 17) at First Baptist Church, John Street and Paul Robeson Place, Princeton. Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church. Interment Princeton Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home, Trenton.
