HAMILTON - Samuel Trapasso, 86, of Hamilton Square, passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton surrounded by his loving family. Born in Coxsackie, N.Y., Mr. Trapasso resided in the Hamilton area for the past 11 years, prior to that he was a resident of Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. Samuel was a former member of the American Legion in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a Mets and Jets fan who liked to walk and who loved children. Samuel was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved nothing more than spending time with his family.
Son of the late Frank and Grace (Amarata) Trapasso, he is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Anna (Tartaglia) Trapasso; his son and daughter-in-law, Albert and Dinah Trapasso; his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Philip Falcone; five grandchildren, Justin Trapasso and wife Mary, James Trapasso and fiancée Jessica, Joseph, Lisa Marie and Samantha Falcone; four great-grandchildren, Chase, Rebecca, Rachael and Keith Trapasso; a brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Rose Trapasso; two sisters, Mary Ferrara and Grace Puglise; and many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday (Oct. 11), at 9:30 a.m. at St. Raphael's Church, 3500 S. Broad St., Hamilton. Entombment will follow in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Route 1, Woodbridge. Friends and family may call on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619.
