Thomas K. D'Arcy, 88, of Wrightstown, passed away at home on Thursday with his loving family by his side. Born in Trenton, he lived in Hamilton for over 35 years before moving to Wrightstown. A US Navy veteran of WWII, he retired after 41 years of service from Siegle Brothers in Trenton. Mr. D'Arcy was the former Mayor and Police Commissioner of North Hanover Township a former president of the Fathers Club of Notre Dame High School, Past President of the Hamilton Township School Board, Past President of Steinert High School, former Chairman of the Hamilton Township Planning Board a lifetime member of the Hamilton Elks Lodge 2262 and past Exulted Ruler, a member of the Church of the Assumption in New Egypt and a member of the Holy Name Society.|
Son of the late Walter and Lillian Wilkinson D'Arcy, husband of the late Anna May Hartshorn D'Arcy, father of the late Thomas W. D'Arcy and Donna Klotz, brother of the late Albert and Walter D'Arcy, he is survived by three sons and two daughters in law; Donald D'Arcy; of Barnegat, Mark and Marian D'Arcy; of N. Hanover, and Christopher D'Arcy; of Medford, one daughter and son in law; Carol Ann and Robert Shubilla; of Jackson, a sister; Marilyn Kirkham; of Mansfield Township, 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, and Miss Barbara Brown his companion and caregiver.
Relatives and friends may call on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Buklad Yardville Memorial Chapel, 30 Yardville Allentown Rd. in Yardville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday (Oct. 15) at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption, 28 Monmouth Road, Wrightstown NJ 08562. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home on Monday all service will be held at the church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery
Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Assumption Building Fund.
