HAMILTON - Richard B. (Kemo) Krieg, 89, of Hamilton, passed away Saturday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Mr. Krieg was born and raised in Kingston, and had been a Hamilton resident for the past 50 years. He was retired from C&R Waste and formerly employed by Kirby & Kirby Trucking, he was a tractor trailer driver for more than 40 years, and a member of the Teamsters Union, Local 701. He was a parishioner of St. Raphael-Holy Angels Church.
A World War II Army veteran having served in the Tank and Recovery Ordnance.
He loved hunting, fishing and gardening, was an avid Phillies fan, and was a very good story teller.
Son of the late, Paul and Helene Brandt Krieg, husband of the late, Rose Reczenske Krieg,
father of the late Richard Krieg and father-in-law of the late Bobby Manukas, brother of the late William, Freddie. Herman, Helen, Elizabeth and Frieda. Surviving are his children, Patricia Cottrell of Hamilton, Robert and Susan Krieg Sr. of Morrisville, Pa., Rosalie Manukas of Hamilton, with whom he resided, grandchildren, Janet and Sal Volkes, Robert and Tina Krieg Jr., Jennifer and Chris Kandravi and Jason Bleistein, seven great-grandchildren, Brianna, Dylan, Carly, Brandon, Anthony, Alyssa and Christopher Jr., and several nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday at Knott's Colonial Funeral Home, 2946 South Broad St., Hamilton.
Interment will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
