HAMILTON - Ewa Diakiw, 92, of Hamilton Township, died Saturday at Arcadia Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. |
Born in Ukraine, she had lived in Hamilton for more than 60 years. As a parishioner of St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Ewa was very active in the Sisterhood of the Church. Ewa retired from the Switlik Parachute Company.
She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Mykola, of 61 years. Mrs. Diakiw is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Maria and Jack Kopera of Hamilton and Stella and Roger Danbury of Yardville. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Edward and Molly Kopera of Hamilton, Jaclyn and William Pein of East Brunswick, Robert and Katie Danbury of Denville, Nicole and Jonathan Kloc of Yardley, Pa.; and her great-grandchildren, Kate and John Kopera, Andrew Pein and Eva Danbury.
Requiem Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1195 Deutz Ave., Hamilton. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Cemetery No.3 in Hamilton. Relatives and friends may share their condolences with the family on Tuesday from 4 until 6:30 p.m. at the Kutch Funeral Home, 215 Grand St., Trenton, with a Parastas service held at 6 p.m.
