Obituary Condolences

BORDENTOWN - Helen V. Orban, 87, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, with her loving family at her side. Born in Bordentown City on January 8, 1925, she had lived in Bordentown Township since 1958 until the time of her death. She was previously employed as a legal secretary to Jay B. Tomlinson, Esquire and grocery store clerk at Applegate's Market in Crosswicks. Helen was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and watching Jeopardy and Phillies Baseball. She also enjoyed spending vacations on Long Beach Island with her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren fondly remember her "Surf City Song" which she composed and sang to them many times over the years. She spent many comforting hours with the family pets; Buddy, Sammy and Slinky.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph L. and Helen V. Haas (Hartmann), wife of the late Julius C. Orban, mother of the late Charles D. Orban, sister of the late Joseph Haas, Elizabeth Klemmer, Margaret Morgan, James Haas and Miriam Applegate.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Lois and Jim O'Connor, of Bordentown Township, with whom she resided; her daughter, Nancy Cammus, of Hamilton; her son, Laurence Orban and his fiancée Pamela Hegyi of Southampton; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Betty Haas of Virginia and George and Peggy Haas of Florida.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer Daily (& Scott), Andrea Fox (& George), Stephanie Cammus, Shawn O'Connor, Jamie Orban, Kelly Traynham (& Jimmy); her great grandchildren, Mark Cammus, Emily Adams, Delaney Fox and Seamus Traynham and many nephews and nieces, including her Goddaughter, Jennifer Haas Clifton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, 10:30am, November 17 at St. Mary's Church, 45 Crosswicks Street, Bordentown, where she was a member for many years. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bordentown. Friends may call Saturday morning, from 8am to 10am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks Street, Bordentown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Helen's name to the Visiting Nurse & Hospice Services, 176 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, NJ 07701.
