EWING - Joseph Fenelli, Sr., 86, of Ewing passed away on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Capital Health Regional Medical Center, Hopewell, with his loving family by his side.
Born in Trenton, Mr. Fenelli was a lifelong area resident. He worked as a rigger and trucker as co-owner of Nicholas Fenelli Rigging and Trucking for over 50 years. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served in the Korean War. Joseph was a member of the Eagle Deer Club and was a volunteer fireman for the Prospect Heights Fire Company in Ewing. He also loved to hunt and fish.
Son of the late Nicholas and Lillian M. (Dickey) Fenelli, he is survived by his wife of 29 years, Dolores (Moody) Fenelli; his five children, Joseph Fenelli, Jr. and wife Susan, Lynn and her husband John Barberi, Robert and David Fenelli, Patricia and her husband Jon Hensler; a step-daughter, Sharon Syper; five grandchildren, Stacy and her husband Robert Cusack, Shannon and her husband Scott McReynolds, Michelle and her husband Joshua Bartlett, and David Barberi and his fiancée Becky Lizzano; three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Arianna and Maria; a brother, Louis Fenelli and Mary Miller; a brother-in-law, Charles Moody and wife Rose; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 13) at the Parkside Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 1584 Parkside Ave., Ewing, NJ 08638. Burial will follow in Ewing Church Cemetery, 100 Scotch Road, Ewing. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Parkside Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home.
