HAMILTON - Rose F. Fradusco Alito, 98, of Hamilton Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Trenton, she had resided in Hamilton for the past 63 years.
Mrs. Alito was a school
for the Hamilton Township Board of Education, retiring in 1984 as the Principal of Sunny Brae Elementary School, Hamilton Township, after 20 years of service with the school district, and was formerly employed for 12 years as a teacher by the Ewing Township Board of Education. Rose was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows/Saint Anthony's Parish, Hamilton, and the Mount Carmel Guild, Trenton.
Daughter of the late Giuseppe and Rosina Schiavoni Fradusco, beloved wife of the late Samuel A. Alito, Sr., sister of the late Joseph, Mary, Helen and Dorothy J. Fradusco and Frances Marateo, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Supreme Court Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. and his wife Martha-Anne; a daughter, Rosemary Alito, Esquire; two grandchildren, Philip Alito, Esquire, and Laura Alito; a niece, Olga Mercurio; and her caregiver, Ivyline McLarty.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 3816 East State Street Extension, Hamilton. Burial followed in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.
Calling hours were private.
