Obituary Condolences

HAMILTON - Juan Carlos Hernandez, 34, aka Abdur Raheem or Juanca, Hamilton, In The Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013.
Born in Bristol, Pa., Carlos resided in Hamilton for the last 13 years and was raised in Ewing. He attended several schools including St. Anthony's in Trenton, Parkway and Fisher Schools in Ewing, and Mercer Jr./Sr. High School.
In 2006 after the death of his mother, Patricia, he married the love of his life, Shirley Charles, became a new father with the birth of his beautiful daughter Alyssa Hernandez. He became a Certified Culinary Technician after graduating from the Career Training Institute at the Mercer County Community College James Kerney Campus.
He went on to become a cook at The College of New Jersey and at The Hyatt in Princeton. In 2010, he reverted to Islam at the Oxford Street Mosque (Masjid-As-Saffat) in Trenton.
During late 2011, his son Jamil was born. He was predeceased by his mother, Patricia Villalobos, and a brother, Santos Hernandez, Jr. He is survived by his loving children, Alyssa Imani Hernandez and Jamil A. Repollet; siblings, Delane J. and Jaquan Weltch, Jahara and Fatima Butler, Antonio, Lester and Ricardo Hernandez; special cousins, Christopher and Bianca Thomas, Jennifer and Michael Azofeifa, Andre and Mike Billingsley, Jade and Rod Leverett, Ignasio Hernandez, and too many to name in Costa Rica; his ex-wife, Shirley Charles; close friends include Lawrence Reyes, Adam Rolon, Carlos Amaro, Kevin Malkin, Lyma Lamy, Donnell Graham, Omar Burgess, Cahli Brown and many many more.
Janazah services were Tuesday (Feb. 12) and funeral prayers were offered at Masjid-As-Saffat, Oxford Street, Trenton. For more information in regards to Juan Carlos Hernandez or donations please contact delanej711@gmail.com or djweltch.com. Arrangements were by Campbell Funeral Chapel, Trenton.
