FLORENCE - Donna Rose Mulé Bacsik, 61, of Florence, passed away peacefully Feb. 17, 2013, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of Villa Victoria Academy and Rutgers University. She was a well loved and respected teacher, vice principal and principal for the Hamilton Township School District, from which she retired as principal of Grice Middle School. She went on to serve the Diocese of Trenton as principal of Our Lady of Sorrows School, and as director of elementary education for the offices of Catholic Schools. She made a difference in the lives of hundreds of students, teachers and parents. Mrs. Bacsik enjoyed reading, cooking, vacations at the beach and visits to the casino. She was a devoted mother, sister and friend.
Predeceaced by her parents, Paul & Frances Mulé, Mrs. Bacsik is survivied by her children, Danielle Povio, David Bacsik and Dianne Bacsik; a brother, Richard Mulé, sister and brother-in-law, Jacqueline and Richard Smith;
an uncle, Robert Mulé Sr. and his wife Rosalie, and aunt, Helen Carabelli; best friend, caretaker and companion, David McWilliam; her longtime friends, Mary, Debbie, Betty, Mary Lou, Jane, Lucy and Joanne and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Rite of Reception will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 3816 East State St. Extension, Mercerville. Relatives and friends may call Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 6 to 9 p.m. at the church.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Interment will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery,
