MONMOUTH JUNCTION - Patricia A. Coleman, 67, of Monmouth Junction, departed this life on Friday, April 5, 2013, at home.
Born in New Brunswick, Mrs. Coleman was a graduate of South Brunswick High School and continued her education at Rutgers University receiving a degree in early childhood education. Patricia was employed by the South Brunswick Board of Education as a security specialist, retiring in 2008. She was an active member of Mt. Zion A.M.E Church in Little Rocky Hill, Princeton.
Patricia was predeceased by her mother, Lillian Burnett, father, Raymond Salter and siblings, Richard, Rolland, Wilma and Myrtle.
Patricia is survived by her son, Robert L. Coleman Jr., and daughter, Barbara (Honey) Coleman, five grandchildren, Thomas Coleman and his wife Mary, Tasha Coleman, Jazzale Jones, Schwnaire Jones and Jelyssa Coleman, five siblings; William, Raymond, Jona, Shirley and Barbara; 11 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, at Mt. Zion A.M.E Church, 77 Old Road, Princeton, NJ 08540. Interment will be in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick. Calling hours will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are by Campbell Funeral Chapel, Trenton.
