Catherine E. Martin, 93, of Hamilton Township, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at her home.
Born in Plainsboro, she was a lifelong resident of Hamilton. Mrs. Martin was a graduate of Wilson College in Chambersburg, PA where she received her Bachelors Degree in Education. She then taught English and Latin in the Ralston, PA school district. She stopped working to raise her family, she then returned to work where she was employed with the State of NJ, Department of Labor and Industry, as an audit account clerk. She retired after 10 years of service.
She was an active member and elder of the former Bethany Presbyterian Church. After her retirement, she was a volunteer with reading for the blind, every week for several years.
Wife of the late William Martin, Mrs. Martin is survived by her five children; Agnes Leonardi; William Martin; Bruce Martin; Judith Wallace and Shirley Martin; her three grandchildren; Debbie, R. Anthony; and Beau; her four great-grandchildren; her three sisters; Janet Dey; Eleanor Gyopyos; Della Nemes; and her brother; George Stout.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday (June 22) at 10:30 a.m. at the Saul Memorial Home, 1740 Greenwood Avenue, Hamilton, NJ. Interment will follow in Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, Lawrence Township, NJ. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday from 9-10:30 a.m. at the Saul Memorial Home.
