Joseph A. Bellina ,85, of Hamilton passed away Tuesday July 16, 2013.
Born in Newark, he attended the Newark Public Schools. Mr. Bellina served his country in the United States Navy from 1946-1948. He recieved a BS Degree in Education from Newark State College, he attended Trenton State College for his graduate studies. Mr. Bellina began his teaching career at Trenton Junior High School #4 in 1952 and retired in 1991 he also taught at Trenton Evening School for the foriegn born from 1953 thru 1970, and served as administrator from 1971 thru 1982. During several summer school sessions he taught english at the Hun School of Princeton a member of Kappa Delta Pi and Epsilon Pi Tau National Honor Sociaties. He was a reciepient of the governor's Teacher Recognition Award in 1988. He served on the Dr. William J. Bickett Memorial Scholarship Committee from 1982 - 1996. Also served on the Hamilton Township Library Board of Trustees January 1988 to December 1997. He was a member of the San Calergero Society; the American Legion Post 31; D.A.V. Chapter 41; National Education Society; NJ Education Society; Mercer County Retired Educators Assn; and a Charter member of the Trenton Select Committee

Husband of the late Virginia Clare Bellina, his beloved wife of 60 years who passed away June 15, 2013. Surviving are his devoted children; Michele (Martin) Gidansky; and Joseph B. (Linda) Bellina; a sister; Frances Barbella; of Largo, Florida and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass to be celebrated 10 a.m. on Friday (July 19) at St. Vincent De Paul Church, 555 Yardville Allentown Road, Yardville Interment with Military honors will be at St. John's Cemetery in Allentown, NJ. There are no Calling hours. Arrangements are by Knott's Colonial Funeral Home of Hamilton
