Thomas David Rothermel

Thomas David Rothermel MT HOLLY - Thomas David Rothermel, of Mt. Holly passed away Friday, February 20, 2015 at his home. He was 84. Married 58 years, Tom is survived by the love of his life, Stella and their six children. He was a devoted husband and father that enjoyed life. Tom was born in Logansport, Indiana. He is predeceased by: his parents, Edward William Rothermel and Nellie Louise (Sales) Rothermel; and his brothers: Fred Rothermel (wife Maxine), and Paul Rothermel. He served in the Navy as a Machinist Mate First Class during the Korean War. Tom worked as a Mechanical Draftsman at David Sarnoff Research RCA for over 30 years. After retiring Stella and Tom opened The Elderberry Inn Bed and Breakfast in Madison, IN. Following the sale of the Inn, Tom worked for another 15 years at the Jefferson County Youth Shelter as a Handyman. For the past 6 years Tom and Stella have lived in New Jersey close to all six kids. He is Survived by his wife, Stella Lynn (Johnson) Rothermel; his Sisters: Agnes Kroft (husband Bob), and Cecilia Slusser, (husband Tom): his Children: Stephanie Meissner, (husband Robert); David Rothermel; Aaron Rothermel, (wife Lynda); Maria Novack, (husband Robert); Jennifer Wahner and Stacy Satow, (husband Scott): his 8 Grandchildren and 2 Greatgrandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 555 Yardville Rd., Trenton, NJ 08620 on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Reception to follow.
