Hilary Lynn Applegate

Hilary Lynn Applegate, 51, of Hamilton Square, passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton, Hamilton, NJ, surrounded by her loving family.
Hilary was born in Trenton. She briefly attended public schools in Hamilton Township and Sister Georgine's Learning Center in Trenton. Hilary graduated from Immaculate Conception Grammar School and earned her high school diploma from Mercer Christian Academy in Ewing.
A lifelong resident of Mercer County, Hilary was a member of Saint Mark United Methodist Church in Hamilton Square. For fourteen years she worked as a volunteer in the Medical Records Department of Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton.
A collector of Breyer Model horses, Hilary competed for many years in collector shows, most notably, the Mid Atlantic Regional (MAR) and the Chesapeake Regional All Bridle (CRABY) in Annapolis, Maryland. She won numerous awards and ribbons. Recognized as a knowledgeable collector, she was frequently called upon through the internet to clarify and identify "found" models.
Hilary is survived by her parents, Carol and Winfred Applegate of Hamilton Square; her brother, Brian and sister-in-law, Christine; her nephew, Shawn and her nieces, Karen and Elaine Applegate of Newtown, Pennsylvania.
Internment at Ewing Cemetery will follow a private family funeral.
Memorial Services celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 11 a.m., at Saint Mark United Methodist Church, 465 Paxson Avenue, Hamilton Square, New Jersey 08690.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Saint Mark United Methodist Church, 465 Paxson Avenue, Hamilton Square, New Jersey 08690.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ.
