Robert A. Siksa Obituary
Robert A. "Bob" Siksa, 72, of Murrysville, died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Mary Lou (Wentz) Siksa for 46 years; devoted and loving father of Michelle Siksa, of Murrysville; brother of Joanne (late Dominic) Gizzi, of Virginia, Mary Ellen Siksa, of Virginia, Christine Siksa, of Virginia, and Catherine (Rick) Milanak, of Lancaster; also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews; also his beloved kitty, Roxy. Bob was a Vietnam War-era Army veteran and a retired employee of Bechtel. During his career, which began with Westinghouse and later became Bechtel, he invented equipment that is used in the Navy nuclear programs for aircraft carriers and submarines. Bob was multi-talented, as he was a surveyor, master woodworker and a HAM Radio operator with the call signal of K30FX.
Friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 p.m. only Sunday, at PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, Turtle Creek/Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Avenue at James Street, Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350. Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Monday in Our Lady of Joy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Sunrise Booster Bowling, or the Mintec Program at Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church, 4600 William Penn Highway, Murrysville, PA 15668.
