Dr.  Anthony R. Haradin Obituary
Dr. Anthony R. Haradin passed away Friday morning, Aug. 26, 2016, at his home with his wife of 56 years, Roberta, his beloved high school sweetheart, at his side. Their love for each other will never die. He was born in Monessen to Metro and Mary Haradin and was survived by his wife, Roberta; two sons, Ray (Nancy Lilja) and David (Leslie Borstad); grandson, Alexander Taj Haradin; and brother, Francis Haradin. He was an oncologist and hematologist who worked tirelessly until the very end for the benefit of all the people he served. He was a graduate of St. Vincent College and later the University of Pittsburgh Medical School with honors, receiving the prestigious Roche Award in 1961. He was an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Pittsburgh for more than 45 years. He served on the staffs of UPMC Presbyterian, St. Clair Hospital, UPMC St. Margaret, Jefferson Hospital and Washington Hospital. He was chief of hematology/oncology at St. Clair Hospital until 2013 and currently had been serving as co-chair of the cancer committee and as coordinator of the cancer conference. He was the first recipient in 2002 of St. Clair Physician Recognition Award. He will be missed by family, friends, patients and co-workers alike.
Funeral arrangements are by BEINHAUER'S, 2828 Washington Road, Peters Township (724-941-3211), where friends are welcome from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Bernard Church (everyone to meet at church). Interment will be held at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
