Edith Monsour Obituary
Edith (Tenuta) Monsour, 95, of Presbyterian Senior Care of Oakmont, formerly a lifelong resident of Blawnox, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 4, 2017, with her family at her side, after living gracefully with Alzheimer's disease over the last decade. Edith cherished her family and her faith and was devoted to both. She touched many lives with her generous spirit, often over a meal at her famed kitchen table. She was the devoted wife of 63 years of the late Sam Monsour; and cherished sister of the late Evelyn (Joseph) Belotti and Linda (James) Ruggeri. She is survived by loving daughters, Kathleen (Stephen Siegel) Bikoff and Jane (John) Miller; adored grandchildren, Caroline Farah, David (Claudia) Farah, Kate (Tommy) Evans and Patrick (Eileen) Jordan; treasured great-grandchildren Gianna, Mark, Jordan, Mack and Georgia; also dear nieces and nephews.
Professional services by THOMAS M. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY LTD., Blawnox.
Remembrances in her name may be made to the Joseph A. Massaro Jr. Alzheimer Research Fund at the Pittsburgh Foundation, 5 PPG Place Pittsburgh, PA 15221. www.thomasmsmithfh.com.
