Jean Revilla Obituary
Jean Revilla, 97, of O'Hara Township, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Rudolph "the Duke"; loving mother of David (Emily), Vincenne (Victor) and Thomas (special friend, Sandy); grandmother of Jeff (Jessica), Shelley (Jason), Jenny (Tim), Ivonne (Robert) and Christina (Peter); great-grandmother of seven; sister of the late Rose, Joseph and Samuel; and daughter of the late Dominic and Josephine (Ragona) Fasone. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Jean graduated from Aspinwall High School, class of 1938. She went on to earn a degree from the Pinkerton Business School and then started a secretarial career in optometry. She married her childhood sweetheart, Rudolph, and they enjoyed 54 happy years together. They owned and operated several successful businesses, including Melody Bowling Lanes. There she became lovingly known as the "Silver Fox." After retirement, she started a small travel business which she operated for more than 15 years. Jean was well-known in her community and held leadership positions in several senior organizations. Jean adored her family and loved her many friends; her home was always open to welcome visitors with lovingly prepared Italian specialties. She was active in St. Pio Parish/St. Edward Church and proudly participated in the Girl Scouts for more than 30 years. Never the one to slow down, even in her 90s, Jean learned to use the computer and had a Facebook page to connect with family and friends around the globe. With some prompting, Jean began to produce beautiful, detailed works of art and filled several sketch books. Throughout her life, Jean loved opera, the classics, Italian music, traveling and playing cards. Jean always will be remembered for her positive attitude, kind words of encouragement and her ever-present smile.
