Roger Crosby Obituary

Roger Francis Crosby, 70, of New York, N.Y., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, after a brief illness. Roger was born in St. Louis, Mo., and grew up in Uniontown. He was a graduate of the University of Dayton with a chemical engineering degree. Roger has had a long and distinguished career as a senior business executive in a number of industries. More recently, as head of NYF Corp., a supplier of engineered components to the aerospace industry, Roger grew revenues nearly tenfold before engineering a very successful sale of the business to a larger competitor. He subsequently founded Densor Corp., a technology transfer firm targeting large infrastructure projects in China. Roger treasured life and lived it to its fullest. He traveled the world, enjoyed the arts, music and good food, but most of all Roger took great pleasure in sharing those things with the people he loved. He was a wonderful and generous friend to many and was a kind and caring father figure to the children that came into his life. Roger was predeceased by his parents, William Curtis Crosby and Mary Frances (Doorley) Crosby; brothers, Thomas and Michael; and sister, Ann Lindner. He is survived by his wife, Glenna; young sons, Iyan and William; nieces, Crosby Lindner, Erinann Phillips and Katherine Chaffin; and nephew, Ethan Crosby. Roger also leaves behind many family and friends and will forever be in our hearts.
A celebration of Roger's life will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016 at The Bethwood, Totowa, N.J. For details and to reserve seating please email Arlene at [email protected].
