Barbara R. (Reeping) Hudock, 80, of Loyalhanna, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, her and her husband's 58th wedding anniversary, at Loyalhanna Care Center surrounded by her family. Born July 9, 1937, in Latrobe, she was a daughter of the late Fred A. Reeping Sr. and Martha K. (Schisler) Reeping. Barbara was a member of St. Rose Church. In her younger years, she has been employed by Kennametal Inc. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved taking care of her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Eric Kromel; a brother, Fred A. Reeping Jr.; and two sisters, Mary Smetak and Kathleen Kells. Barbara is survived by her husband, Richard S. Hudock Sr., of Loyalhanna; two daughters, Audrey R. Kromel and her husband, Michael, of Latrobe, and Denise M. Tatone and her husband, George, of Derry; three sons, Richard S. Hudock Jr. and his wife, Anita, of Latrobe, Thomas S. Hudock and his wife, Veronica, of Latrobe, and Douglas A. Hudock and his wife, Kerri; one brother, Joseph Reeping and his wife, Janelle, of Sevierville, Tenn.; two sisters, Ann Zamer and her husband, John, of Gilbert, Ariz., and Patricia Androstic and her husband, James, of Latrobe; 12 grandchildren, Michael Kromel and his wife, Taylor, Ryan Kromel and his wife, Lauren, Elizabeth Kromel, Tara Tatone, Anthony Tatone, Troy Tatone and his wife Chloe, Karlie Hudock, Erika Hudock, Ashley Tedesco and her husband, Domenic, Alison Hudock and Dex Hudock; three great-grandchildren, Sophia and Hines Kromel and Naomie Tatone; and her beloved dog, Pepper. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Loyalhanna Care Center and Excela Hospice for their outstanding support and care.
Family and friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. The St. Rose Rosary Altar Christian Mothers will recite the Rosary at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Rose Church with the Rev. Rogelio "Rod" Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow at St. Rose Cemetery.
