Cecelia T. Shebeck, 96, of Mechanicsburg, and formerly a resident of Mt. Pleasant, entered into eternal rest Sunday, March 18, 2018, at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg Campus, Harrisburg. She was born in Mt. Pleasant on Sept. 15, 1921, and was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Shebeck, parents, three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Cecelia was a devoted wife and mother. She assisted her husband with their electrical contracting business as a personal secretary. Cecelia had a "green thumb" and was always planting flowers and working in her garden. For 40 years, she volunteered with the American Red Cross. She enjoyed cooking and baking, but her greatest joy came from her children. Cecelia leaves behind two daughters, Janet S. Ketterer and her husband David, of Dillsburg, Pa., and Patricia A. Griffin, of Chesapeake, Va.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2018, at BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant, followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Sarver officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
