Edith M. Kelley Obituary
Edith M. (Felgar) Kelley, 84, of Belle Vernon (formerly of South Huntingdon Township), passed away Saturday morning, Oct. 6, 2018, in Westmoreland Manor, Hempfield Township. Edith was born Sept. 3, 1934, in East Huntingdon Township, a daughter of the late Samuel L. and Ruth A. (Gallagher) Felgar. She was married to Windell H. Kelley, who passed away May 13, 2003. Edith was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a longtime and faithful member of Barren Run United Methodist Church and enjoyed baking and cooking. Edith will be sadly missed by her loving family: her son, Thomas R. Kelley and wife Jody, of Belle Vernon; her five grandchildren, Rhonda Gilbert and husband Geno, of Mt. Pleasant, Jessica Kelley, of Monessen, and boyfriend David Silvis, Jeremiah Kelley and wife Christine, Cody Kelley, and David Houseman, all of Belle Vernon; her four sisters, Muriel Booher, of Connellsville, Marjorie Coughenour, of Mt. Pleasant, Dorothy Johnson, of Scottdale, and Martha Tietze, of Herminie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Daniel E. Kelley; her daughter-in-law, Diane S. (Vargo) Kelley; her three brothers, Samuel H. Felgar, Robert E. Felgar and Jack W. Felgar; and her four sisters, Doris J. Felgar, Betty E. Keffer, Frances R. Welch and Mary C. Keffer.
Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 Spring St., Scottdale (724-887-5300 / www.fergusonfunerals.com / GPS: N40 degrees 06.136, W79 degrees 35.278). Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Additional viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday in Barren Run United Methodist Church followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. Wednesday with Pastors John Logan and Terry Trudgen co-officiating. Graveside service and interment next to her late husband will be in Barren Run Cemetery.
