Jane L. Linden Obituary
Jane L. (Rumbaugh) Linden, 91, of Norvelt, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018, with her family by her side. Jane was born Oct. 13, 1926, to Caroline and Lester Rumbaugh, in Midway. She grew up with older siblings, the late Donald Rumbaugh and the late Glessen Bandrofchezk. Jane met her husband, the late Kenneth Linden Sr., while roller-skating. The pair had a first date after a November parade and married in March. The couple had four children, Colleen, Scott, Curtis and Kenneth Jr. Jane was a homemaker and also a server at McSorleys Restaurant at Greengate Mall, where she made many friends. She could be seen almost daily waiting for her bus. Jane was a social member of the Norvelt Fireman's Club. She will be sadly missed and was affectionately known as "Never Ever". She also enjoyed crossword puzzles. In addition to her parents, siblings and husband, Jane was preceded in death by her grandson, John Kenneth "Kirk" Korba. She is survived by her children, Colleen Korba, of Mt. Pleasant, and her fiance, Bud Petrosky, Scott and Sharon Linden, of Greensburg, Curtis and Debbie Linden, of Tarrs, and Kenneth and Tammy Linden Jr., of Masontown; seven grandchildren, Melanie (Mike) Simko, Kristie Linden, Matthew Linden, Greg (Sarah) Linden, Andrew Linden, Ashley Linden and her fiance, Steve Pegg, and Heather (Jason) Fetchen; five great-grandchildren, Sean and Shane Fetchen, Ethan Linden-Miller and Leila Linden and Evalee Linden; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff at Harmon House in Mt. Pleasant for their wonderful care and compassion and many caring neighbors and friends.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt. At the request of the family, Jane's funeral service will be private. Private interment will follow at the Hillview Cemetery, Greensburg.
