Mary Lou Fulgenzio Obituary
Mary Lou (Yett) Fulgenzio, 88, a resident of Brookdale Senior Living, Latrobe, formerly of Jeannette, went peacefully home to the Lord Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017. She was born July 3, 1929, the youngest of four daughters to the late Anthony and Erminia Labriola Yett. She was a lifelong resident of Jeannette. Mary Lou was a 1947 graduate of Jeannette High School and a loyal Jayhawk fan. She enjoyed working with her classmates on the Class of 1947 Planning Committee for her high school reunions. Prior to her retirement, she worked as an administrative assistant for the Westmoreland Glass Company in Grapeville. She was also a member of the Senior Citizens Club of Jeannette and the Rosary Altar Society of Ascension Church Parish. She enjoyed working alongside her cousins in the baked goods booth at the Ascension Church Italian Festival each year. Mary Lou also loved to play bocce at the M&S Social Club. In addition to her parents, Mary Lou was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Orlando V. (Piney) Fulgenzio. Mary Lou shared a very special bond and closeness with her three sisters who she now joins in heaven, Livia Maddalena, Ginny Conte and Nellie DeNezza. She is survived by her two sons, Anthony Fulgenzio (Gloria), of Erie, and Orlando Fulgenzio (Debbie), of Greensburg; as well as four grandchildren, Daniel (Camilla), Gina, Kristen and Gabe. Mary Lou's family wishes to thank the caring nursing staff and aids at Brookdale as well as the team from Promise Hospice Care of Greensburg for their love and comfort in her final days.
Friends will be received 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in the JOHN GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 228 N. Second St., Jeannette. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in the Ascension Church with Father Paul A. Lisik as celebrant. Entombment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township.
