Vincent Martino Jr. Obituary
Vincent Martino Jr., 85, of Jeannette, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, after a long battle with leukemia. He was born April 11, 1932, in Jeannette, a son of the late Vincent Martino Sr. and Nicolina (Nellie) Piaino Martino. Vincent was a 1950 graduate of Jeannette High School and a 1956 graduate of Duquesne University, where he studied accounting. He served his country in the Army in Germany from 1956 to 1957. Upon returning, he worked as a federal agent at the Internal Revenue Service for 22 years, after which he started his own CPA firm in downtown Greensburg until 1997. Vince was an avid sports fan and followed baseball, football and basketball closely, especially the New York Yankees. He also enjoyed reading widely and was a skilled storyteller. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, Vincent was predeceased by his son, Michael Vincent Martino, in 2010. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Martino; daughters, Paula Martino and her husband Robert Clementi, of North Huntingdon, and Karen Greenan, of Jacksonville, Fla.; a son, Edward Krisner and his wife Aline, of Monroeville; grandchildren, Marina, Leo and Natalie Clementi, and Kristen and Katherine Greenan; a sister, Madelyn Miller and husband Donald, of Jeannette; and he was beloved by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at JOHN V. GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 228 N. Second St., Jeannette. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral in Greensburg with Msgr. Raymond Riffle as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
