David C. Dittmer Obituary
David C. Dittmer, 74, of Washington Township, formerly of Plum, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 29, 2018. He was born Aug. 5, 1943, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Walter and Catherine Dittmer. David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Prior to retiring, he was employed as a truck driver for the Pittsburgh Press/Post Gazette. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed antique cars, going to car cruises, tinkering in his garage and watching the Steelers. David will be sadly missed by his beloved family. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Constance (Sninsky) Dittmer; his daughters, Lisa Keszer (Mike), of Plum, and Tiffany Kuhn, also of Plum; stepdaughter, Kim Buchinsky (Victor), of Saltsburg; brother, Walt Dittmer (Pat), of South Hills; and numerous nieces and nephews. David was the proud grandfather of Brittany, Ryan, Shelby, Isabella and Sophia; and proud great-grandfather of Peyton and Mia, all of whom will especially miss him.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the VAIA FUNERAL HOME INC., 463 Athena Drive, Delmont, 724-468-1177. Funeral services for David will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Committal services and interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park, 990 Patton St. Ext., Monroeville, PA 15146.
