Gary W. Tronsberg Sr., 61, of North Versailles, died peacefully Saturday, June 23, 2018, in Forbes Hospital, Monroeville. He was born Jan. 26, 1957, in Braddock, a son of the late Naomi Ruth (Higgs) Tronsberg and John F. Tronsberg Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Gary Tronsberg Jr.; and brother, Robert Tronsberg. Prior to retiring, Gary was employed as a commercial attendant in the hotel industry. He was a very talented musician and loved playing his guitar to the enjoyment of his family and friends. His most treasured and memorable times were those spent with his family. Gary was very interested in his family roots, having traced his genealogy back many generations. Gary will be greatly missed by his beloved family. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Jane "Mary" (Jankowski) Tronsberg; sons, Joe Tronsberg Sr. (Jill Furlong), of Wilmerding, Robert Tronsberg (Nicole Luchkiw), of North Versailles, and James Tronsberg, also of North Versailles; sister, Deborah Vranko (Joe), of Murrysville; brother, John Tronsberg Jr. (Dianna Trovy), of North Braddock; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law; nieces and nephews, Tina, Becca, TJ III, Nathan, Cari and Mike (Jessie); extended family members; and special buddy, Toby, his dog. He was the very proud grandfather of Joey Jr., Katelyn and Jacob, all of whom will especially miss him.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the VAIA FUNERAL HOME INC., 463 Athena Drive, Delmont, 724-468-1177. A memorial service for Gary will be conducted at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, immediately following. Interment in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont, will be private.
