Bernard J. Rusinko Obituary
Bernard J. "Bernie" Rusinko, 71, of Greensburg, loving husband and father, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018, at home, surrounded by his beloved family. Bernard was born July 6, 1947, in McKeesport, to John and Anna (Reese) Rusinko. Bernard was a pilot, he loved to fly. He was an avid car enthusiast and he truly enjoyed working on the family farm. More than anything, he loved his family and spending time with "his girls." He was known for his sense of humor and giving nature. Bernard had a huge, loving heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Bernice Waddle. Bernard is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Janice Lee (Garcia) Rusinko; daughters, Jamie Rusinko (Michael Ernesty), of Blairsville, and Jana Winslow (Royce Winslow), of Greensburg; goddaughter, Denise Waddle; and a number of nieces and nephews. Bernard was the very proud grandfather of Juliette Rusinko.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. VAIA FUNERAL HOME INC., 463 Athena Drive, Delmont, 724-468-1177, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to help offset the expenses incurred from the extensive medical treatments. Bernard fought hard against neuroendocrine cancer. Please make checks payable to "Bernie Rusinko Memorial Fund" and mail to S and T Bank, 85 Greensburg St., Delmont, PA 15626.
