Emma V. Paskan, 90, of Sutersville, died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016, at her home. She was born Oct. 22, 1925, in Hopwood, a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Timar) Banko. Surviving are three children, John A. Paskan and wife, Elizabeth, Daniel W. Paskan and Susan Lacey and husband, Gregory; five grandchildren, Benjamin J. Paskan and wife, Rachel, and Gregory, Nicholas, Tyler and Rory Lacey; a sister, Margaret Cindrick, of Virginia; two brothers, Frank Banko, of Virginia, and Joseph Banko and wife, Theresa, of California; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew J. Paskan; a grandson, Andrew "A.J." Paskan; a brother, William Banko; and sisters, Sue Fair, Mary Lebo and Irene Vincent.
Friends will be received 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the J. WILLIAM McCAULEY JR. FUNERAL HOME INC., 901 Vine St., West Newton, at which time services will be held. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.

We are sending our sincere sympathy to all who loved Emma. She was such a good neighbor and friend. She often gave me advice, which I welcomed, as I respected her for her wisdom and good common sense. May peace and love surround you all at this time.
