Herbert Heller

1928 - 2017

Herbert Heller, 88, of Mamont, died Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at his home. He was born on Sept. 11, 1928, a son of the late Andrew J. and Ruby (Riddell) Heller. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Viola (Trapana) Heller, and by three brothers and a sister. Herbert is survived by his four sons, Cleve Heller and his wife Candace, of Washington, Pa., Jeffrey Heller and his wife Kathy, of Apollo, Ransom Heller and his wife Dorothy, of Apollo and Metro Heller and his wife Lisa, of Wrightsville, Pa.; grandchildren, Amber Gartley and her husband Josh, Heather Heller, Nathan Heller and his wife Megan, Alexander Heller, Cassandra Anthony and her husband Will and Conrad Heller; and five great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Clara Malone, of Churchill and Adaline Schwartz, of Delmont. Herbert was a longtime member of the Acme Club of Cheswick, Pa. He will be remembered for his love for dancing, especially with his wife of 62 years.
Friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday only, with services at 7:45 p.m. at the BASH-NIED FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, 724-468-8381. At the family's request, interment will be held privately.
