Kathryn B. Vesely

Kathryn B. Vesely, 93, of Fayette City, died Saturday, May 23, 2009, in her residence with her family by her side. She was born Jan. 13, 1916, in Gillespie, Washington Township, a daughter of the late Joseph Bednar and Mary Matvej Bednar. She was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon, and a former member of the Ladies Guild at the former Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church, Fayette City. Surviving are two sons, Peter J. Vesely and wife Karen of Belle Vernon, Joseph V. Vesely and wife Donna of Fayette City; two daughters, Mary (Mimi) McManus and husband Dennis of New Stanton, Margaret (Peggy) Gioella and husband Robert of Venetia; 11 Grandchildren: Lisa Vesely, Peter and Holly Vesely, Adrienne Vesely and fiance Andrew Daniloff, Joseph (Joey) Vesely and fiance Corinne Ogrodnik, Erin and Mark Froelich, Mark McManus, Meghan and Brian Campfield, Micheal Gioella, Karen Gioella and fiance Dave Peters, Matthew Gioella, and Kristen Gioella; seven great-grandchildren: Peyton, Aubrey and Lainey Vesely, Nathan and Colin Froelich, Owen Campfield, and Meela Gioella; and a brother, George Bednar of Fayette City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter J. Vesely, a brother, Joseph Bednar; and sisters Anna Poprocky, Helen Bolchak, and Margaret Buckey. Friends will be received in the ELEY/ MCCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC. Main Street, Fayette City on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, May 27, 2009, until 9:30 a.m., when a blessing service will take place followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Catholic Church with the Rev.
