Anna Mae Emery

1930 - 2017

Anna Mae (Collingwood) Emery, 86, formerly of Upper St. Clair, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017, in Paramount Senior Living at Peters Township. She was born Sept. 5, 1930, in Leechburg, to the late Delwyan E. Collingwood and Nannie Ann Duncan. She was a 1952 graduate of Westminster College. Anna Mae was an elementary music teacher in the Bethel Park School District for 33 years, retiring in 1985. She enjoyed volunteering throughout her retirement at Mayview State Hospital. Anna Mae was a former member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Upper St. Clair, and more recently at Community Presbyterian Church, Ben Avon, over the years. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Emery, Aug. 16, 1985, as well as a brother, Bruce Collingwood, and a sister, Eloise Collingwood. Survivors include a sister, Betty Jane Nolf; stepdaughter, Janet Kelly; stepson, Arthur Emery; two nieces, Nancy (Richard) Talley and Mary Ann (Richard) Wolfe; two grandnieces, Kathleen Talley and Lisa (Brandon) Eickel; two grand-nephews, Craig and Grant Wolfe; and one great-grand-nephew, Easton Eickel.
A viewing will be held at 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017, at REDMOND FUNERAL HOME, 524 High Street, Freeport, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., with Dr. Donna Giver-Johnston of Community Presbyterian Church, Ben Avon, officiating. A private burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
