Charles F. Hince Jr. Obituary
Charles F. Hince Jr., 83, of Springdale, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017. Mr. Hince was born July 12, 1934, to the late Charles and Blanche Zamosky Hince Sr., and was a lifelong resident of the community. Charles worked for West Penn Power Co. for 40 years, from which he eventually retired. He belonged to St. Alphonsus Church in Springdale, the Falcons Club, 7th Street Sportsman's Club and Clyde and Patti's Golf League. He also enjoyed bowling and spending time with his grandchildren and family. Surviving Mr. Hince are his loving wife of 64 years, Betty (Pater) Hince; sons, Charles M. (Suzanne) Hince and Michael (Judy) Hince; daughters, Nancy (Jim) Fogle and Janice (Corey) Heller; a sister, Barbara Hince; a brother, John (Gerry) Hince; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hince was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Ted Hince.
Mr. Hince's family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC., 801 Pittsburgh St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, in St. Alphonsus Church, with the Rev. Kenneth Kezmarsky officiating. Private burial will follow in Deer Creek Cemetery.
