Jean M. Jaloski Obituary
Jean M. (Halt) Jaloski, 90, of Doylestown, Pa., formerly of West Deer Township, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2018, in Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown. She was born March 13, 1928, in McKeesport, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Halt. Jean graduated from Allderdice High School and then went on to Indiana University of Pa. to obtain her teaching degree. There she met her future husband, Jack, who recently returned from the European Theater after World War II. Most of Jean's teaching career was spent as an elementary school teacher for the West Deer School District, West Deer. Later, she received her master's of library science at the University of Pittsburgh and became the librarian for the elementary schools in the township. After the passing of her husband, Jack, 20 years ago, Jean moved to the Doylestown area and has been a resident of the Pine Run Retirement Community, Doylestown, for the past 18 years. Jean was a breast cancer survivor. Jean's retirement years were highlighted with overseas travel with friends and family and especially spending time visiting her grandchildren. Survivors include her sons, John and his wife, Jumiati, near Doylestown, and Jeff and his wife, Lindsay, in Connecticut; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jack Jaloski; her brothers, Charles and George Halt; and her sister, Margaret Kennedy.
She was privately buried next to her husband, Jack, in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township. Arrangements were entrusted to the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer.
