Marcella R. Zeolla

1935 - 2017

Marcella R. (Bloom) Zeolla, 81, of Natrona Heights, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017, at Platinum Ridge Nursing Home, Brackenridge. She was born Sept. 4, 1935, in Indiana, Pa., daughter of the late John A. and Marie (Komola) Bloom. Marcella has lived the past 51 years in the area, where she was a homemaker. She was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Worship Site, Natrona Heights, and Christian Mothers of her Church and Sisters of St. Joseph. Marcella graduated in 1953 from Tarentum High School and enjoyed reading books, especially the Bible, but she especially enjoyed praying for her family, children, grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Nicholas F. "Nick" Zeolla; sons, Allen L. (Kim) Zeolla, of Plum Borough, and Gary F. Zeolla, of Natrona Heights; grandchildren, April (Patrick) Barnes, of Plum Borough, Daniel (Jessica) Zeolla, of Plum Borough, and Jonathan (Victoria) Zeolla, of Wexford; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, John H. Bloom, of New Kensington.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME INC., 347 E. Tenth Ave., Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
