Mary Ellen Brubaker Obituary
Mary Ellen (Svitek) Brubaker, 59, of Fawn Township, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018, at her home, following a lengthy illness. She was born Oct. 13, 1958, in Harrison Township, to Frank Svitek Sr., of Brackenridge, and the late Lillian (Sharick) Svitek. Mary Ellen has lived in Fawn Township since 1979, where she was a homemaker and also was a teller at South West Bank, in Tarentum, and Brackenridge for 15 years. She was a member of St. Ladislaus Roman Catholic Church, Natrona, and the Brackenridge American Legion Auxiliary. Mary Ellen graduated from Highlands High School in 1976. She was an avid Steelers fan and especially enjoyed spending time with her family, children and grandchildren. Besides her father, survivors include her husband of 34 years, Terry L. Brubaker; daughters, Heather (Eugene) Mennow, of Warren, Ohio, and Terra Brubaker and fiance, Daniel Frey, of Canonsburg; grandsons, Luca and Oliver Mannow; stepchildren, Mark Brubaker, of Brackenridge, Timothy Brubaker, of Taylor, Mich., Sean Brubaker, of Tarentum, and Amy (Richard) Crawford, of Natrona Heights; and three step-grandchildren, Emily Crawford, Payton Godfrey and Logan Crawford. Also surviving are her siblings, Karen Carter, of Lower Burrell, Kristine Bucci, of Royal Oak, Mich., Debbie (Timothy) Callahan, of Pawley's Island, S.C., Kevin (Cathy) Svitek, of Tarentum, Frank (Sharon) Svitek Jr., of Natrona Heights, Denise Svitek, of Brackenridge, and Keith (Crisie) Svitek, Fawn Township; mother-in-law, Imogene (Sober) Brubaker, of Leechburg; and.her loving dogs, Chloe and Paisley.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME INC., 347 E. Tenth Ave., Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Ladislaus Church, Natrona. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
