Mary S. Rovnan-Davis Obituary
Mary S. "Duck" Rovnan-Davis, 94, of Fawn Township, passed away Monday, June 4, 2018, at home, peacefully in her sleep. She was born Oct. 9, 1923, in Chicago, Ill. Mary lived most of her life in Fawn Township. She was an admission clerk at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights, and was also the former tax collector for Fawn Township. Mary was a member of Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum, and an avid watcher of EWTN, Catholic channel. She had a strong Catholic faith and enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. Mary especially enjoyed time with her family, children and grandchildren. She always remembered family birthdays and holidays. Survivors include her sons, John M. (Janet) Rovnan, of Natrona Heights, and George M. (Kim) Rovnan, of Adams Township; grandchildren, John M. (Kelly) Rovnan, Mark S. (Helene) Rovnan, Matthew C. (Karesa) Rovnan, Courtney L. (Daniel) DeMarco and Kelsey E. Rovnan; and great-grandchildren, Sydney, Karina, Tyler, Milan, Elizabeth, Addyson, James, Theodore and Cole. Also surviving is a sister, Ann Blaha, of Florida; stepsons, Ted Davis, of Natrona, Terry (Connie) Davis, of New Kensington, and Rob (Kathy) Davis, of Buffalo Township; and step-grandchildren, Ronnie, Nicole, Kevin, Missy, Eric and Jessica Davis. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Milan P. Rovnan Sr., in 1968, and second husband, Robert Davis; and a son in infancy, Milan Rovnan, in 1962.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME INC., 347 E. Tenth Ave., Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum, with the Rev. Thomas L. Gillespie, MD, officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Township.
