William James "Bill" Natik, of Lower Burrell, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018. Bill was born in Renton, and resided all his life in Lower Burrell. He attended Plum High School, but graduated while serving his country in the Air Force while being selected to attend officers training school. He was employed by the city of Lower Burrell for 35 years, life member of the Kinlock Fire Dept., enjoyed sports and trips to Florida with his grandchildren. He also was a collector of trains and enjoyed woodworking. Bill is the beloved husband of Collette (Varesco) Natik; dear father of Sharon (Todd) Slomka, of Lower Burrell, and Marie (Douglas) Olinger, of Lower Burrell; loving grandfather of Seth and Tori Slomka, Hannah and Nicole Olinger; brother of Helen Thomas, of Springdale; uncle of Beverly (Terry) Yaworski, and great-uncle of Lindsey Yaworski; and Oreo his faithful companion. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Elizabeth Natik; his brothers, Joseph, Steven and Larry, and his sister, Mary Chach.
Visitation will be private with the family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Margaret Mary Church, Lower Burrell. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to FRANK F. GIGLER FUNERAL HOME, Robert P. Karish supervisor, 2877 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell, 724-335-6500.
