Eugene Bevilacqua Obituary

Eugene Bevilacqua, 91, of Lower Burrell, formerly of Cecil, died Saturday, April 30, 2016. He was the husband of Irene Davis Bevilacqua. They were married for 60 years. He is survived by two sons, Mark (Becky, of Charlotte, N.C.) and Curtis (Nancy, of Lower Burrell). He was a devoted grandfather to his four grandchildren, Dominic and Eric, of Lower Burrell, and Steven and Amy, of Charlotte, N.C. After graduation from Cecil High School in 1943, he enlisted in the Army Air Force. A technical sergeant, he was stationed in the Western Pacific as a gunner on a B-29. He earned the Air Medal with two oak leaf clusters and the Distinguished Flying Cross. He entered the University of Pittsburgh in 1946 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1950 and a master's degree in business administration in 1952. From 1955 to 1958, he was employed at the Montifiore Hospital in Pittsburgh as a personnel director and purchasing agent. He was employed at Allegheny Valley Hospital from 1958 until his retirement in 1989 as the Associate Administrator. During his working years he was also a member of the Lower Burrell school board. After retiring he became a volunteer at the Westmoreland County food bank. He also volunteered for the mercy dinners at St. Margret Mary's church.
There will be no public viewing.

I was very blessed to have them as my in laws, always offering kind words and never judge mental , my two boys Dom and Eric, are better people because they were in there lives, they both will be greatly missed.
