Eloise Cupps Obituary

Eloise M. Cupps (Bream) May 18, 1914 ~ October 1, 2008 Eloise Marie Braem was born in the ancestral family home of her grandparents in Prairie du Chien, WI. She lived most of her youth in this small town on the Mississippi River. After her marriage to Donald Elmer Cupps, she moved back and forth between Iowa and Wisconsin as Donald followed the work during the Great Depression. In 1952, the promise of work led them to Washington State, finally settling in Tacoma, where she has lived since 1966. Her husband Donald and three of her 12 children, Donald Cupps, Mary Cupps, and Patricia Cupps, preceded her in death. She is survived by 9 children: Josephine Briedenbach of Brookfield, WI; Richard Cupps of Coffee Creek, MT; Leonard Cupps of Willmar, MN; Frances Nelson of Port Orchard, WA; Clarence Cupps of Tacoma, WA; Eloise Davis of Lacey, WA; Mary-Margaret Qualheim of Spanaway, WA; Patrick Cupps of Sacramento CA; Gary Cupps of Sumner, WA; 41 grandchildren, 90 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, October 4th, 2008, 9:00 am. Rosary will be recited prior to Mass at 8:30 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 757 138th St. S., Tacoma, WA. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Association. Please leave online condolences at www.GaffneyCares.com.
