CLAUD VINCENT JINKS

Claud Vincent Jinks March 14, 1948 - April 4, 2010 Claud was raised on the family farm in Homer, IL. He earned his BS degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he pledged Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity and later earned his MBA at City University, Seattle. He enjoyed a long career in the motorcycle industry, including 20 years as District Sales Manager for Harley-Davidson Motor Company. Claud was active in many organizations including: Washington Motorcycle Road Racing Association, Indian Summer Golf and Country Club, Gyro Club of Olympia, The Valley Athletic Club squash, two model railroad groups and various motorcycle rider associations. Claud is survived by wife Anita (m. 1971) of Olympia; son Ryan Jinks of Milwaukee, WI; daughter Erin Winemiller (Dan) and granddaughters Mira and Celeste, all of Gresham, OR; sister Terry Danner (Don) of Rochelle, IL; sister Tammy Craddock (Jim) of Columbus, MS; brother-in-law John Primmer (Barbara) of Mahomet, IL; and a large extended network of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and brother. Claud will always be remembered fondly for his wisecracks and wordplays, confidence, competence and perfectionism, and his gift of song. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at Indian Summer Golf and Country Club, 5900 Troon Lane SE, Olympia on Sunday, April 11 at 2 p.m. As someone who enjoyed every aspect of motorcycle sport, Claud was passionate about promoting safe and responsible ridership.
