Howard E. Holter After a long, courageous battle with cancer, Howard left our loving family July 11, 2015. Howard was born April 28, 1930 in Kenmare, North Dakota, to Helmer and Ethel Holter. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Janette, sons Dale (Jonnette), Daren (Patty), and Daryl (Melissa), six grandchildren, Jeff, Julie, D.J., Cody, James, and Emily, one great-grandson, Kyson, one sister, Hazel, 2 brothers, Lloyd and Clifford, in North Dakota, and one sister, Faye, in Montana. Howard retired from the Tacoma School District #10 after working 33 years; a life member of Amvets Post #1, Lakes Moose #1865, and Gig Harbor Eagles #2809. Howard/ Dad will be greatly missed. Until we meet again, thanks for the memories and the lessons you taught us. Best of all, thank you for being there when we needed you. Services will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, WA, on August 5, 2015 at 10:00 am. A Celebration of Howard's Life will be held at the family residence on Saturday, August 8, 2015, at 1:00pm.
