Donald Reed Theoe Don was born March 31, 1939 in Portland, OR to Ted A Theoe and Eugenia (Gillespie) Theoe. He passed away peacefully at 8:45pm with his wife and Pastor Harlan Shoop at his side. He is survived by his wife Florence, 2 sons, David Theoe and Michael Theoe, brother Ted Theoe, grandchildren Candace, Matthew, Natasha, Edwin, Evan and Zachary, great-grandchildren Bailey and Wyatt, and extended family and friends. Don was eleven when he moved to Seattle in 1950. He graduated from Queen Anne High School in 1957. He earned both BS and MF (Forestry) degrees from the
University of Washington. His career in forestry was varied and took him to nearly every state in the Union. He held many positions in forestry organizations; he helped to start the Forest Stewardship program in Washington, he helped private forest landowners develop and manage their property, and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Don's quiet but strong beliefs and gentle ways were always steadfast. He walked with our Lord in an unassuming manner, remembering to pray for others and giving generously to those who needed help or attention. Don will be remembered, missed, and loved by the many people whose lives he touched in forestry, by his friends, and his family. The memorial service will be held January 12, 2013, 2:00 pm, at University Place Presbyterian Church. The family would ask that in lieu of flowers donations be sent to the
